Volt – A Mobile Wallet

To build a fully functional wallet app that lets users manage money, invest in stocks and crypto, split bills, and track their wealth - all within a beautiful dark-mode-first interface. Inspired by Revolut’s polished UX, this project focused on replicating and enhancing essential financial flows for a high-end feel.

Create a fully functional mobile wallet app inspired by Revolut.

It should include a modern, polished UI with both light and dark modes. The app should support core features such as:

Home dashboard with total wealth overview and breakdown by category (Cash, Crypto, Invest, Interest, etc.)

Real-time portfolio tracking with charts and market performance

Investment management with charts, stats, and buying/selling UI for stocks and crypto

Peer-to-peer payments with chat-style bill-splitting (bill marked as paid, etc.)

Add money, withdraw, and transfer screens

Budgeting tool with numeric keypad for setting monthly spending limits

Multi-account and card linking

The design should replicate Revolut’s clean and elevated style with full attention to hierarchy, spacing, typography (use SF Pro Rounded or Inter), smooth gradients, large pill buttons, and dynamic graphs.

Use tabbed navigation with 5 sections: Home, Invest, Payments, Crypto, More.

Charts should be interactive and data should look real. Use color-coded tags (Marketing, Development, etc.) and smart grouping. The entire app must feel fast, elegant, and intuitive.

Include toggles for light/dark mode, modern iconography, and biometric login.

Wealth Overview: Real-time total balance with visual breakdown

Investments: Track crypto and stocks with live prices and charts

Bill Splitting: Chat-style payment history and settlement tracking

Add Money: Connect accounts and cards with clean selector UI

Encrypted Transactions: Secure messages and transactions

Dark/Light Mode: Full UI switcher with smooth transitions

Spending Limits: Monthly budget caps with native keypad

Insights: Capital at risk notices, portfolio allocation pie charts

Used SF Pro Rounded for soft but modern vibe

Main color theme: black base with neon blues and purples for highlights

Charts were designed with tap-to-reveal interaction and date ranges

UI built around bottom sheet flows for fast, intuitive actions

Focused on legibility, smooth transitions, and polished UI states

Mimicked Revolut’s structure but extended it to feel more modular and playful

Chart interactions: Candlestick & line charts needed optimization for mobile — reduced precision labels and improved tooltip tap targets.

Dark mode balance: Ensured accessibility for color contrast in dark themes by tweaking highlight colors and adding subtle shadows.

Keyboard overlays: In the monthly limit screen, we ran into iOS-style keyboard overlaps — adjusted safe-area padding and modal behavior.

Performance: Switched to lighter animations and SVGs for smooth transitions across devices with lower refresh rates.
