Playmatch.gg was a platform all about gaming tournaments, so I guestposted about How to prepare for a gaming tournament. It was a huge blog article with some SEO strategy and keywords in focus.
I wrote everything a gamer could think of: how to train a week before the competition, what to eat when the big day arrives, what they can't forget to bring, and if there's any physical exercises they could do beforehand... I wrote it all!
It was a full checklist of what to do a week before and during the competition day.
I wrote about training in moderation, setting up alarms for the big day, reading the tournament rules and checking the official website and social media, getting ready for unforeseen circumstances, checking up your competitors and having a good night of sleep.
I also spoke about getting up early, eating well, exercising, rereading the rules, arriving early, bringing water and snacks, not forgetting your team's uniform or your documents and, of course, checking in as present.
Additionally, I wrote about checking your equipment for any malfunctions, playing a warm-up match and meeting with your team for some bonding time before the tournament begins.
Finally, I wrote about keeping a cool mind and not being afraid of losing, as that's part of the experience.
Every one of those items was a section with detailed instructions.
Unfortunately, Playmatch.gg is no more. You can check the article in this archived webpage for now. I will surely bring this text to my personal blog pretty soon - it's better this way, since I can keep track of analytics and keyword positioning.
