Dastgyr is a B2B marketplace reshaping how suppliers and retailers connect in Pakistan. It streamlines supply chains with logistics, secure payments, and financing, helping businesses source, sell, and scale in emerging markets.

About the Project

The Acquisition App equips field sales agents to onboard, verify, and manage retailers in their territories. I co-led the design from discovery to delivery, including interviews, workflow mapping, wireframes, design system creation, and usability testing.

Challenge

Agents relied on paper lists and memory to manage retailer data. Managers struggled to assign tasks clearly, updates were slow, and follow-ups inconsistent. This hurt productivity and slowed retailer growth.
Agents cared most about:
Onboarding retailers quickly to hit performance targets
A reliable, simple tool that didn’t crash
Quick verification and updates
Easy access to retailer history

The Solution

We designed a streamlined mobile app with two main workflows:
Verify New Retailer
Enter phone number → confirm/edit details → verify in a few taps
If not yet onboarded, agents can send a push notification or call instantly
My Retailers
List of onboarded retailers, starting with those with fewer orders to drive follow-ups
Filters by area, date, and order volume
Retailer profiles with edit, verify, and direct call options
Additional features:
Profile page for agent info and settings
Scalable design system for future features

Usability Testing & Iteration

Simplified confusing terminology
Made filters optional
Adjusted list behavior to match agent workflow
Added direct call option from retailer profiles

Outcome

Agents became 60–70% more productive with tasks digitized
Managers gained crystal-clear visibility into agent assignments
No need for paper tracking or memory-based workflows
Faster onboarding meant agents could onboard more retailers and increase earnings
Push notifications and one-tap calls improved follow-up efficiency
