Milton Areceneaux, the co-founder of Official Creole Culture, reached out to nine authors and seven photographers to capture and tell the stories of Louisiana Creole Culture's essence through a cultural table book.
We focused on the hands that built and continue to build Louisiana Creole Culture with love, light, perseverance, uniqueness, ingenuity, and faith.
Over three months, we met together virtually and in person to bring the vision to life. We met our due date and submitted materials, which went through an editing and design process.
To start International Creole Heritage Month the proper way, a ceremony of celebration was held in Opelousas, Louisiana.
Not only was I a contributing author, but I also performed and read one of my profound pieces titled "Reflections With Quinn" at the event.
So many people purchased our book that night, and tons of others have inquired and purchased after the event.
The Official Creole Culture was beyond satisfied with my contributions and continues to be a collaborative client.
Co-authored a cultural tablebook about Louisiana Creole Culture and performed a poetry piece written by Quinn Foster at the Hands of Heritage live event.
