Camping & Outdoor Store | Custom Shopify Theme

This project involved building a custom Shopify theme from scratch for an online store focused on camping and outdoor products. The store offers a wide range of gear across categories such as hiking, camping, eating and drinking, caravaning, and gadgets.

The goal was to create a flexible and scalable ecommerce foundation that supports a growing product catalog while delivering a clear and user-friendly shopping experience.

The main challenges were:

• Building a fully custom Shopify theme without relying on pre-built templates • Supporting a wide range of product categories and content types • Creating reusable sections and snippets for future flexibility • Ensuring consistency across multiple page types • Making the theme easy to maintain and extend over time

The store needed to handle complex content while remaining fast and intuitive.

I focused on developing a clean, modular Shopify theme using Liquid and JavaScript. The theme was structured around reusable sections and snippets, allowing the client to easily customize layouts and content without modifying core code.

Multiple page templates were built, including the homepage, collection pages, product pages, blog, articles, and additional supporting pages. Each page was designed with clarity and usability in mind to help customers browse products efficiently and make informed purchasing decisions.

Scalability and maintainability were key priorities throughout development.
