Adze — Custom Shopify Theme for a Solid-Wood Furniture Maker

Concept project. Adze is a fictional furniture workshop in the Hudson Valley: six solid-wood designs in white oak, black walnut and ash, all made to order. I designed the brand and every page, rendered every product in Blender, and built the store as a custom Shopify theme on Dawn.
The brief was a store for complex products and two kinds of buyer: homeowners choosing one table for thirty years, and designers who need drawings, lead times and trade prices without a phone call.
The idea: named for the joint
Every design is named for the joint that holds it: Bridle, Drawbore, Tusk, Treenail, Housed, Rebate. The joint is what the site shows.
Pinned wordmark: ADZE stays put while the room photo scrolls over it, in CSS only
How it's made: numbered chapter tabs drive an expanding gallery

Rendered from the model
Stock photos can't show one table in six finishes. So I modelled all six designs in Blender from their drawings and rendered every wood and finish from one scripted pipeline: 52 consistent images, joint close-ups and two room scenes.
The same models become GLB files for Shopify's 3D viewer and AR, and the drawings on the spec sheets.
Built for the merchant
No app and no Shopify Plus. The merchant edits everything in Shopify admin and the theme editor.
Colourways: each wood is its own product, joined by swatches (pushState and the Section Rendering API)
Variant metafields: lead time, dimensions and seats for every size and finish
Metaobjects: designs, joints, woods, materials, care guides and showrooms
Trade: prices by customer tag, applied at checkout by an automatic discount
Deliverables and stack
Brand: guidelines in 10 frames, logo set, 103 variables, 15 text styles
Design: 8 pages and 12 states at 1440, 834 and 390 px, 17 components
3D: six Blender models, 52 renders, GLB files for 3D and AR
Shopify theme: custom sections on Dawn with Liquid, metafields, metaobjects, samples and trade pricing
