Omoskillo- Mobile app design

Omoskillo App is a conceptual mobile application designed to offer learners and instructors a seamless experience in accessing and managing courses on the go. This project was created to showcase my skills in designing intuitive, mobile-first interfaces with a focus on usability, course accessibility, and a cohesive visual identity. The app provides tools for discovering courses, tracking progress, and fostering interaction between learners and instructors.

Stakeholder Assumptions: Defined the app's objectives based on the needs of e-learning mobile platforms, prioritizing simplicity, responsiveness, and user engagement.

User Research Insights: Conducted secondary research to understand mobile user behavior, identifying pain points like small-screen navigation and efficient task completion.

Competitive Analysis: Studied leading e-learning apps to pinpoint best practices and differentiate the app’s functionality and design approach.

User Personas: Developed personas for mobile-focused users, highlighting needs such as quick access to courses, progress tracking, and interaction ease.

User Flows: Mapped out user flows for core app tasks, such as searching for courses, enrolling, and participating in discussions, to ensure seamless interactions.

Mobile-First Architecture: Designed a streamlined structure optimized for mobile devices, ensuring intuitive navigation and quick access to key features.

Low-Fidelity Wireframes: Created mobile wireframes focusing on small-screen layouts and essential navigation patterns for key screens like the dashboard, course catalog, and profile.

Interactive Prototypes: Designed interactive, high-fidelity prototypes in Figma to simulate the app experience, enabling early feedback and validation.

Brand Alignment: Reflected Omoskillo’s identity in the app through professional yet approachable visual elements that balance functionality and aesthetics.

Peer Review: Conducted feedback sessions with peers to refine designs and address usability issues like touch target sizes, readability, and navigation ease.

Iteration: Improved the app design based on the feedback, ensuring it adhered to mobile UI/UX best practices.
