The article, ''Playing out loud: Jazz music and social protest'' written by Ricardo
Nuno Future Pinheiro teaches us about how Jazz music expresses itself.
From a historical point of view, jazz music was giving people political messages that
included the case for civil war. To protest, there were thrown the concerts.
For example, showing people's feelings about discharging nine black children by
''Little Rock Center High School" is proven to be one of the most powerful
messages that jazz music gave us. Another example that is mentioned in the
article is '' Alabama'' written by John Coltrane, he introduced us to the attack in
which four African Americans were killed. The church where the incident had
happened, became the center place of Civil Rights activities.
