In my role at Elite Gas, I recognized a crucial need to enhance our existing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to facilitate smoother communication and collaboration between the operations and sales teams. Elite Gas was utilizing Close CRM, and while it served as an effective sales funnel, it lacked features to manage operational aspects related to order fulfillment and shipping.
To address this, I took the initiative to create a tailored system within Close CRM that bridged this gap. Leveraging the available features and customizations, I designed an additional funnel within Close CRM to manage the logistics of shipping and order processing. This new funnel enabled us to track and update the status of packages, providing critical information about when a package needed to be shipped and other pertinent shipping details.
Moreover, to ensure a comprehensive view of the invoicing process, I integrated Zapier and QuickBooks with Close CRM. This integration allowed real-time visibility into invoice statuses, linking each invoice to its respective deal or opportunity within the CRM. Consequently, our team could efficiently manage the entire sales process, from lead to invoice, within the existing CRM infrastructure, streamlining operations and improving collaboration across departments.
This enhancement significantly improved internal processes, allowing seamless communication and coordination between the sales and operations teams, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction through optimized order handling and transparency.
