Mobile and web app for local bus transit arrivals - Busko
Objective
Design and develop an engaging app for providing all the information about bus arrivals from multiple carriers in one app. It works in multiple cities across Slovenia and enables admins to spin up new carriers relatively effortless.
Context
When this app was being created, there were no good options for getting real-time bus arrivals data when out and about. That is why I decided to create an app that would provide users with a unified experience on mobile and on web and across multiple cities in Slovenia.

Solution
I came up with a rough concept of the app during the lockdowns and created a robust mobile and web app that allow spinning up new carriers in a matter of hours without any need for manual updates to the app.
The app features live arrivals data as well as timetables, re-routes and route schemes.
The app is now used by more than 50k users weekly and was featured in national news papers (RTVSLO).

The app was designed and tested with users in Figma and coded in Ionic / Angular.
