Dover's platform was good and its setup was manual, which put a person between every new customer and the product working. I designed the onboarding and in-app customization flow so customers could configure it themselves.

Self-serve search criteria
Alongside it I built the product's first design system and the principles behind it, working directly with PM and engineers to scope and ship.
The first design system: type, color, and everything, consistent
Self-serve onboarding isn't a shorter version of a hand-held setup. The person doing the hand-holding was making judgment calls, and the design work is deciding which of those to expose as choices, which to default, and which to remove.
