Every time it floods in my community, it’s not just water filling the streets — it’s fear, loss, and disrupted lives.
Kids miss school.
People can’t work.
Families stay awake praying the water won’t reach their doorstep.
And when it does, memories, homes — sometimes even lives — are washed away.
What hurts most is how normal it has become.
These floods aren’t random disasters anymore.
They’re the clearest sign that the climate crisis is already here.
Yet every time, people rebuild.
They clean the mud, fix their walls, and keep moving.
Their strength inspires me — but resilience alone isn’t enough.
We need awareness, prevention, and collective climate action.
Because if we don’t act now, one day we’ll all be rebuilding something we love.
Every time it floods in my community, it’s not just water filling the streets — it’s fear, loss, and disrupted lives.
