Today I saw a video where a woman claimed that sexual violations happen because โwomen give signals.โ
And honestlyโฆ I was shocked.
As a woman who wears a fully covered abaya, Iโve still faced harassment โ even while sitting quietly on a bus with my eyes closed.
So what โsignalโ was that?
Silence? Breathing?
This is why victim-blaming must stop.
Women are harassed when fully covered, when quiet, when doing nothing at all. Itโs not clothing.
Itโs not behaviour.

Every time it floods in my community, itโs not just water filling the streets โ itโs fear, loss, and disrupted lives.
Kids miss school.
People canโt work.
Families stay awake praying the water wonโt reach their doorstep.
And when it does, memories, homes โ sometimes even lives โ are washed away.
What hurts most is how normal it has become.
These floods arenโt random disasters anymore.
Theyโre the clearest sign that the climate crisis is already here.
Yet every time, people rebuild.
They clean the mud, fix their walls, and keep moving.
Their strength inspires me โ but resilience alone isnโt enough.
We need awareness, prevention, and collective climate action.
Because if we donโt act now, one day weโll all be rebuilding something we love.
