𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 — 𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐥𝐲.

Today I saw a video where a woman claimed that sexual violations happen because “women give signals.” And honestly… I was shocked.

As a woman who wears a fully covered abaya, I’ve still faced harassment — even while sitting quietly on a bus with my eyes closed. So what “signal” was that? Silence? Breathing?

This is why victim-blaming must stop. Women are harassed when fully covered, when quiet, when doing nothing at all. It’s not clothing. It’s not behaviour. 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐫.

We need awareness, empathy, and honest conversations — not excuses.
