Cheeni Website Rebuild: A Faster, Clearer Digital Experience
Cheeni needed a modern site that reflected the clarity, warmth, and forward momentum of the brand. The goal was to create a system that felt clean, purposeful, and easy to maintain while supporting visuals, story, and service information in a structured way. The new site focuses on speed, accessibility, strong layout rhythm, and a simple path for visitors to understand what Cheeni offers.
The Challenge: Turning Creative Vision Into a Clear User Path
The previous site had scattered content, slow load times, and no clear structure for repeatable pages. Visitors struggled to understand Cheeni’s value quickly, and the design lacked cohesion across the brand. The site also needed a reliable CMS and a component system that allowed the team to update everything without external help.
Key Problems
Unclear Information Architecture Visitors had to work too hard to find services, work, or contact info.
No Component System Page layouts were inconsistent which weakened the brand.
Slow Performance Heavy assets and layout inconsistencies affected loading and user flow.
Low Conversion People left before reaching core actions.
User Insight
I want the site to feel clean and expressive, and I want to update it without stress or confusion. I want visitors to understand the offer in seconds.

Design Process: Strategy, Systems, Prototyping
To build a site that could grow with Cheeni, I focused on structure first, visuals second.
Research and Audit Reviewed the old site to understand problems in layout, flow, and messaging. Studied independent studios and cultural organisations to refine the direction.
Wireframing and Structure Built low fidelity wireframes to map content types and user journeys. Created a scalable component system to support new pages in the future.
Prototyping and Iteration Developed high fidelity designs in Framer. Tested spacing, type rhythm, mobile usability, and user flow with early viewers. Tuned interactions for smooth transitions and clean movement.
The Outcome: A Sharp, Confident Site That Works Harder For The Brand
The new Cheeni site is clear, fast, and expressive. Every page follows a unified structure that builds trust and strengthens the brand. Visitors move from interest to understanding without friction.
Key Results
Higher Engagement Users spend more time exploring services and projects.
Faster Updates Cheeni can update content through the CMS without any technical intervention.
Stronger Brand Identity Consistent type, spacing, and layout build recognisable visual language.
Improved Conversion Clear pathways help visitors reach contact and service pages faster.
What I Learned
This project reinforced the importance of strong systems and calm visual design. Cheeni’s brand thrives when the layout steps back and the content leads. A well built CMS and a reusable component library create long term stability and freedom.
Key Takeaways
Structure creates trust. Consistent spacing and type rhythm improve readability. A modular system makes future updates painless and scalable.

What the client had to say

Cameron did a great job laying out the phases of work and where he needed my input to ensure we could build the website I was envisioning. Would definitely work with Cameron again!
