Zenith, a processing company, had been operating for 5 years using a manual accounting system. While the business was growing steadily, the outdated processes were proving inefficient and error-prone. They needed a modern accounting platform to support their expanding operations. I was hired to implement Xero as the centralized financial system. The key objectives of the project were to digitize accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory management processes. We started by setting up the chart of accounts, and customer and supplier lists as per the company's requirements. All historical financial data from the inception was then migrated from the old system to Xero. This ensured a clean start with accurate opening balances. We configured recurring invoices, bills, and payrolls to automate day-to-day transactions. Extensive training was provided to the finance team on features like cashflow forecasting, GST returns, customized reporting, etc. Post implementation, Xero now handles the entire order-to-cash and procure-to-pay cycles end-to-end. It has provided Zenith with real-time insights, control over finances, and scalability to support future growth.
