Responsive Website Design for Small Business

I designed and developed a responsive e-commerce website for Sweet by Holly using WordPress, Flatsome theme, and WooCommerce with Clover Payments integration. The redesign focused on promoting higher value items and improving navigation for our target audience of women, specifically mothers.

I used a human-centered approach to design the site for Sweet by Holly, catering to our target market of women, especially mothers, with feminine and playful fonts and swatches. The redesign of product listings from dropdowns and radio buttons to swatches provided a more visually appealing and user-friendly interface for customers.

I leveraged advanced product types like box, variable, and bundled products in WooCommerce to give customers more flexibility and options. I also utilized various plugins and extensions to fully utilize the capabilities of WooCommerce. Additionally, I integrated the online payment method with Clover POS system to provide simple invoicing, better customer management, and more detailed analytics.

In the first month after launching the new site, gross sales increased by 164% with orders going up 72%. I designed the site to promote higher value items which were purchased 30% more than the previous month which added to the large increase in gross sales. Sales for lower-priced best-selling items also went up 181% as I made them easier to navigate to. With a prominently placed CTA button, custom order form responses increased by 40%, reducing the workload for in-store staff.
