About the Client

An agriculture P2P lending platform that gives social impact

As an end-to-end agriculture lending platform, TaniFund tried to build ecosystem that consists of:
Lending platform to crowdfund agricultural projects
Digital platform for field agent to register and track agricultural projects
Borrowing platform for F&B SME

Challenge

The good user acquisition number doesn’t equal to better total lending amount

Knowing the main issue that users have is about risk perception. We tried to build the app around this aspect. The solutions are:
Low conversion rate from registered to start lending
Increase in inactive user more than 1 month
High complain rate from users with lending amount below 1 million rupiah

Project Objective

How might we increase the quality of the lending received?

Initially, the product team proposed to focus on improving the quality first, but the business team was confident we could tackle the quantity as well. Then we decided to build a mobile app for this product, the goals set for this project are:
100.000 play store download in a month after new mobile app release
1000 new users registered from mobile app
Rp 1.000.000.000 lending generated from mobile app by the end of the year

Outcome

60% increase in monthly new lending, but the progress halted because the problem in the other business unit (borrower)
