Luxury hospitality sites carry heavy media. Full-screen photography, video, editorial layouts. That weight is the brand.

It is also the bottleneck. The site was scoring 39 on PageSpeed. A guest researching a wellness retreat on mobile data feels every second of that, and a slow site quietly contradicts everything a luxury brand promises. Precision, calm, care. A 39 score is none of those.

I went through the site the way you would audit a bill: line by line, asking what each item costs and whether it earns its place.

Compressed and resized the media pipeline so images load at the size they display, never larger. Deferred scripts that were blocking the first paint. Cleaned render-blocking assets out of the critical path. The visuals stayed exactly as the brand demands. The waste behind them went.

Alongside performance, ongoing build work on the site itself: new pages, content updates, keeping a large luxury property's web presence current.

PageSpeed went from 39 to 77. Same imagery, same brand weight, roughly half the waiting.

For a resort site, the website is the first room a guest walks into. It has to feel like the property: fast, composed, considered. That is what this work bought.
