Travel & Music Vlog – Artistic Storytelling Edit

This project was an artistic take on the traditional travel vlog, created for a Polish musician. Rather than simply documenting a journey, the video combined travel footage, music, and elements of a music video to create a more emotional and cinematic experience.

Working with raw footage, music, and general creative guidelines provided by the client, my main goal was to convey the protagonist’s emotions and build a cohesive visual narrative.

I focused on creating an atmosphere and connecting the visuals with the music and emotional tone of the story:

Selected and arranged footage to support the narrative

Adjusted pacing to match the music and mood

Added animated text

Applied color correction and visual effects

Stabilised camera footage

Integrated transitions, background music, and sound effects

Edited in DaVinci Resolve, featuring:

– Color correction – Animated text – Camera stabilisation – Gaussian blur and vignette effects – Transitions – Sound effects and background music – Cutting and trimming

This project demonstrates my approach to storytelling-driven video editing, where the goal goes beyond simply assembling footage. It showcases my ability to combine music, visuals, pacing, and editing techniques to create an emotional atmosphere and communicate a story through video.
