As a key member of the design team, my primary role involves the creation of a comprehensive design for the LED Cube Demonstrator Kit. Leveraging SolidWorks, I am responsible for the 3D modeling and engineering of the wooden cube structure, ensuring it accommodates the LED Printed Circuit Board (PCB) attached to a custom heatsink. The design incorporates precise tolerances based on manufacturing processes and supplier capabilities, guaranteeing a seamless fit of components during assembly.Additionally, I am tasked with the design of the heatsink to efficiently dissipate heat generated by the LED PCB, contributing to the overall longevity and performance of the LED Cube. Simultaneously, I am developing a housing unit for the main control system, which facilitates light dimming functionalities. The integration of these components into the wooden cube requires a delicate balance of aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturability. All material drawings for each component, including wood parts, heatsink, and housing, are meticulously created to provide a clear roadmap for the manufacturing process. This includes detailed information on tolerances, aligning with the team's TRA template and 6 Sigma calculations to ensure the highest quality standards.
