Hardware product development is anchored in legacy processes, with teams struggling to coordinate across global supply chains, multiple vendors, and disparate data sources. Engineering teams at companies like Square and Meta spend hours manually preparing status updates, tracking revisions, and managing documentation across spreadsheets, PowerPoint decks, and email chains - contributing to timeline delays that can cost millions in lost revenue and market opportunities.
By embedding with hardware engineering teams to understand their daily pain points we designed an automated solution that transforms manual processes like revision management, logistics tracking, and status reporting into automated workflows.
In close collaboration with engineering, we developed a modular, flexible system that streamlines tedious tasks while preserving existing team processes, targeting a 30-40% reduction in administrative overhead. Early pilots suggest this approach could save engineering teams days of development time and significantly reduce program costs by allowing them to focus on core product work.
