Overview

The Space Mission Insights Dashboard presents a detailed analysis of space missions, showcasing 4,503 total missions, with 4,076 successes, 991 active rockets, and an average success rate of 90.5%, indicating a robust performance across global space programs.
The dashboard’s donut chart highlights that 90.56% of missions have been successful, with 7.07% failures and 2.38% partial failures. This strong success rate suggests effective mission execution, though the presence of failures and partial successes indicates areas where risk management can be improved.
The bar chart showing missions by company reveals that CASC leads with 317 missions, followed by Arianespace at 282, and General Dynamics at 203. While CASC and Arianespace boast high success rates, General Dynamics has a notable proportion of failures, indicating varying levels of reliability among companies.
The line chart of mission counts over decades shows a steady increase in space missions, particularly from the 1990s onwards. The sharp rise in missions during the 2020s reflects intensified global interest and investment in space exploration and technology development.
The Rocket Status Overview shows that 77.99% of rockets are retired, with 22.01% still active. This distribution underscores the need for ongoing innovation in rocket technology and the regular turnover in active fleets as missions evolve.
The Rocket Count by Company chart highlights RVSN USSR as the leader with 1,717 rockets, significantly ahead of CASC at 336 and Arianespace at 293. This dominance showcases RVSN USSR’s historical investment in space technology, positioning it as a key player in the industry.
The comparison of successful missions between RVSN USSR and NASA shows NASA’s consistent performance, particularly strong during the late 20th century, while RVSN USSR, despite more missions, shows a less consistent success trajectory.
The Space Mission Insights Dashboard offers clear insights into the global space industry, emphasizing the success and scale of various companies’ missions over time. By breaking down mission outcomes, company performance, and rocket statuses, the dashboard provides valuable strategic information for stakeholders looking to optimize mission success rates and advance space exploration initiatives.
