Digital illustration, Pattern and Textile design

BOK is a cultural design project that reinterprets symbols of Jongno and Korean traditional iconography into contemporary artworks and pattern designs. Drawing from motifs such as the tiger and magpie—figures historically associated with protection, fortune, and auspicious energy—the project translates traditional symbolism into a modern visual language. Through pattern-based compositions, BOK explores how cultural heritage can be reactivated as a living design system rather than a static historical reference.

BOK 프로젝트는 종로와 한국을 상징하는 전통 요소를 현대적인 그래픽 언어로 재해석한 문화 디자인 프로젝트이다. 행운과 수호의 의미를 지닌 호랑이와 까치를 중심으로, 철쭉꽃과 은행나무 등 전통 자연 모티프를 결합해 패턴과 아트워크를 구성하였다.

이 프로젝트는 전통 문양을 단순히 재현하는 데서 나아가, 오늘날의 시각 환경 속에서 다시 작동할 수 있는 디자인 시스템으로 확장하고자 했다. 완성된 패턴은 족자 형태의 아트워크뿐 아니라 복주머니 클러치, 카드지갑, 손수건, 에어팟 케이스 등 실제 상품으로 구현되며, 전시와 상품 개발이 동시에 가능한 문화 콘텐츠로 제안되었다.
