An SEO analysis on why a certain domain is doing well/bad on search Keyword: "revenue recognition software" On having a quick glance at the SERPS for the Keyword. 1) You are greeted with multiple domains that are targeting this Keyword and running PPC ads. 2) This is a Money Keyword & domains are competing & investing in paid channels to capture leads. 3) CTRs on the Organic listing would be lower due to ads running & ranking at #1 would still have a 15-30% decrease in the estimated visitors landing on the website based on the number of ads running. 4) “Revenue Recognition Software” as a Keyword for an SEO would generally mean the intent is navigational in nature where the searchers are looking for a particular website or webpage that provides them with the software and serves user intent. However, this doesn’t seem to be the case on doing a SERP analysis. 5) Page 1 of the Search results for the keyword shows ambiguity in user intent. There are 4 Product Pages, 5 Informational Content Pages, and 1 Review Site and a People also Ask as a SERP feature.
Findings 1) PAA box being displayed by Google means it thinks the searchers’ user intent here is to have get a short answer for the query. 2) Google shows a 50:50 split of Product & informational content as a common interpretation for the query it is what many or some users mean when they type a query
