Context

As the lead Product Manager at Union RealTime, I was the driving force behind the ManageSpace B2B PropTech Management Platform. I oversaw the entire lifecycle of the product, from design to execution, and through multiple development cycles. Our team developed an end-to-end management platform that encapsulated the customer leasing cycle, CRM, and billing, and integrated advanced technologies like 3D modeling, an AI-search bar prototype, automated workflows, and a pluggable platform architecture. This innovation was aimed at capturing a significant share of a USD 1,536.4 million market, leveraging the platform’s unique property-agnostic capabilities to appeal to a wide array of commercial real estate types.

Problem

The real estate technology sector is highly competitive, with many firms competing for a share of the billion-dollar market. Our challenge was to introduce a new platform that was not only innovative, but also robust, compliant, and versatile enough to meet the diverse needs of customers across real estate types. Additionally, during this period, our company underwent critical restructuring, including navigating through two major layoffs, which required us to maintain high staff morale and align limited resources with stringent business objectives. Despite these challenges, we were able to successfully overcome them and achieve our goals.

My Role & Accomplishment

As the lead Product Manager for the ManageSpace B2B PropTech Management Platform, I am proud to have led our from the initial concept to market readiness. I introduced our platform at four national conventions in Las Vegas, where it made a strong impression for its innovation and market viability, establishing a solid early reputation and drawing keen initial interest. I oversaw the completion of over 1,000 tasks in Jira and Linear, enhancing critical features such as CRM systems, 3D modeling, and detailed lease management processes, from reservations to move-ins and outs. These improvements were vital in elevating the platform’s usability and performance to meet the demands of modern property management. During a crucial restructuring phase at our company, I stepped up as an interim manager. My leadership was key during this transition, helping the team navigate through significant layoffs while keeping morale high and ensuring our operations stayed aligned with our main business goals.
