Overview: Inspired by Japanese aesthetics, this project started with a Cinema 4D-rendered bonsai tree, through insydium taiao plugin and GSG+ textures, and evolved into an elegant Rive animation. The project emphasizes harmony and motion while staying true to the lightweight philosophy of Rive.

Rive-Specific Implementation:

Subtle Micro-Animations: Branches and leaves gently sway using Rive’s timeline controls, creating a lifelike feel that draws users in.

Depth Simulation: Leveraged multiple animation layers to replicate a 3D parallax effect within Rive’s 2D framework.

Interactive States: Added hover-triggered animations that subtly adjust the bonsai’s motion speed, providing an interactive dimension.

Color and Texture Rendering: Used Rive’s blending options to match the textures and tones of the original render while keeping the file size small.

Impact: This project illustrates how Rive can bring complex visuals into lightweight, responsive animations ideal for storytelling, branding, or immersive web experiences.
