Ubisoft China launched a playful campaign around Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s in-game photo mode for Single’s Day (11.11), inviting players to capture their most creative shots and win a trip to Greece.
The video mixed live action, humor, and VFX to tell the story of a gamer whose anniversary goes hilariously wrong – blending myth, comedy, and gameplay into a cinematic parody.
I led the post-production direction, from storyboarding, editing, and color grading to VFX compositing, and sound design, coordinating teams between China, France, and Spain under tight deadlines.

One of the key challenges of this project was maintaining a smooth and reliable production pipeline across multiple time zones.
I managed remote collaboration between the shooting crew in China and the 3D/VFX artists in Barcelona, while running review sessions with Ubisoft’s decision-makers.
This required validating live footage, testing VFX integrations, and ensuring that both creative direction and technical execution stayed aligned through every production stage.
The final video was well received by the Chinese gaming community for its humor and playful tone. It marked a successful collaboration with Ubisoft, later leading to new projects such as Rabbids Chinajoy 2019.
