An innovative EdTech solution designed to transform how children master spelling and handwriting. Penpoints bridges the gap between physical writing and digital feedback; kids write on paper, capture a photo, and receive instant, AI-driven analysis. The platform serves a tripartite ecosystem: children (learners), parents (monitors), and teachers (educators).

The core difficulty was accurately digitizing and analyzing diverse children’s handwriting. I had to engineer a pipeline that could not only "read" the text but also identify specific spelling errors and provide granular, letter-by-letter confidence scores in a way that remains fun and encouraging for kids.

Computer Vision Pipeline: Integrated Google Cloud Vision API to perform high-accuracy OCR (Optical Character Recognition) on handwritten images.

Intelligent Feedback Loop: Leveraged OpenAI API to analyze spelling patterns, providing contextual feedback and highlighting specific areas for improvement.

Reactive Architecture: Built with BLoC to handle complex states, from camera interactions to real-time AI processing, ensuring a smooth user journey.

Multisensory Experience: Implemented Text-to-Speech (TTS) to assist children with pronunciation, making the learning process more immersive.

Smart Onboarding: Developed a QR Code system to simplify the connection between students, parents, and their classroom assignments.

Successfully launched a highly complex AI tool that maintains a simple, kid-friendly interface. By combining Cloud Functions with advanced APIs, I delivered a scalable product that provides professional-grade handwriting analysis in seconds.
