This project was a collaborative effort between, a Boston based pharmaceutical company, and several creative agencies. The core product we helped launch is Plenity®, anFDA-cleared, prescription-only aid for weight management. It is made from naturally-derived cellulose, which absorbs water and expands 100x in the stomach. When taken with water 20 minutes before lunch and dinner, Plenity helps you feel full, so you eat less, and lose weight.
Problem & Solution 🤝
Plenity deployed a soft launch to a small test group of 20k patients in 2020. The challenge was to launch a new and improved digital experiences to support their National Launch (NL), in August 2021.
First we need to create the blue-sky vision of the ideal experience. Then, we needed a strategic plan to scale the vision down to a feasible (MVP) scope for the national launch. We needed to create ) and an experience that will improve retention and referrals for patients, which we refer to as members.

After 8 months of close collaboration and successful teamwork, Sarah led the launched the new and improved acquisition websites for Plenity’s National Launch. The sites are already hosting more than 53k visitors monthly, (a 13 year established competitor Qsymia welcomes 40k monthly). It is growing exponentially, and has quickly becoming a highly valuable part of the Plenity offer. —Senior Vice President, Marketing Gelesis, Inc.
