Because I signed an NDA when I was hired, I am limited in what I can share with you. However, one of my greatest achievements for FiNC was the creation of a drip campaign consisting of a series of three emails sent to first-time donors to thank them for their donation, teach them more about how FiNC came to be and what we are all about, and compel them to continue to donate and remain involved with the organization. Though I wrote all three emails in the campaign, the Head of Marketing sent out the emails and has been monitoring the metrics related to the campaign for almost two years. What I do know, and am allowed to share, is that this email campaign has been a lot more successful than expected. The first round of emails sent out was very successful, meeting or exceeding all set metric/KPI goals by up to 10%. The majority of recipients opened and read all three emails in the drip campaign, and many either donated at least one more time or became monthly donors. Though I unfortunately cannot share these emails as examples of my email marketing skills, based on these results, I utilized my storytelling, marketing, content and copywriting skills along with my knowledge of FiNC's mission, civics, democracy, and political issues to craft interesting, persuasive email pieces that drew in our readers and caused them to want to learn more about- and donate more to- FiNC.
