Who was the winner of the Super Ballon d’Or?
The legendary Alfredo Di Stéfano took the prize, beating Michel Platini and Johan Cruyff in the voting process. The prize was only open to players from Europe, and Di Stéfano was nominated because he was a Spanish national. A French journal named France Football has only ever received the honor once.

Messi’s resume is unmatched after Argentina’s World Cup victory this year. His talent at the club level was undeniable, and his international performance has been nothing short of amazing.
Messi has won seven Ballon d’Or awards, two more than any other player in history. And is in a position to win an additional award. If he maintains his current level of play with PSG for the remainder of the season. Who can be a Competitor for Super Ballon d’Or?
Maybe nobody. Only Messi exists in his league. Although Cristiano Ronaldo may be brought up, his record is, at most, equal to Messi’s, but far from being as strong. Some will also be rooting for the Brazilian Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and even Zidane.
Additionally, Messi is still performing at a phenomenal level for PSG despite the fact that his professional career at the highest level has already come to an end. As a result, Messi has a distinct edge and appears to be the only candidate for the coveted Super Ballon d’Or.
