Total Redesign of Electrician Landing Page Website to Improve SEO and client leads
The Client
United Electrical Systems is owned and operated by Leandro Velazquez, a master electrician with 30 years of experience serving the greater San Diego area.
The Business Problem
United Electrical Systems’ previous website wasn’t bringing any leads or working effectively as a marketing tool. The site lacked information about their services, had low-resolution images, and didn’t accurately reflect the quality of service or professionalism of the business.
The Goal
Overhaul the website with an emphasis on search engine optimization to improve new client leads and conversions.
Create a mini brand that is masculine, modern, and memorable, setting UES apart from other electricians and tradesmen.
Project Constraints
The business name, United Electrical Systems, is almost the same as three other direct competitors in the San Diego area (United Electric, United Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric, and United Electric Supply Co.). I urged my client to consider a new name for the business to avoid confusion and improve brand recognition, but they were not willing to rebrand.
UES’s limited budget only allowed for the most basic Framer plan, meaning that we were limited to two webpages—a landing page and 404.
There are only a handful of client testimonials on Yelp, and the UES team is unable to claim their Google business profile, further limiting search results and access to testimonials.
My client was unwilling to include photos of himself or staff in the “About” section of the website, which compromises the warmth and trustworthiness of the brand reputation.

The Results
A landing page website with a visual identity that is unique and memorable in the construction and trade contractor industry. While most electricians’ websites are quite drab and on the nose with lightning bolts for logos and red, white, and navy color schemes, the new UES visual identity is masculine, warm, and professional, with a modern craftsman feel.
SEO has significantly improved, with the implementation of HTML tags, the addition of alt text on images, and the inclusion of keywords throughout the newly rewritten and optimized site copy.
