Street Food — From Cook to Story

Short-Form Food Content

Client: Personal Food Vlog Content: Street Food · Cooking Process Role: Video Editing · Short-Form Editing
Long cooking footage edited into concise, engaging food content — turning 10–15 minutes of raw footage into a 1–3 minute story.

The Challenge

How do you turn 15 minutes of cooking into 3 minutes people actually want to watch?
The footage captured the full cooking process, but showing every step would make the content feel repetitive and slow.
The challenge was to keep the important cooking moments and story intact while removing everything that didn't move the video forward.

The Approach

Cut the Process. Keep the Story.

I focused the edit around the most important and visually satisfying moments of the cooking process.
Removed repetitive and unnecessary footage
Selected key cooking steps
Tightened pacing between each stage
Used cuts to keep the process moving
Structured the video so viewers could follow the dish from start to finish
The goal was simple: show enough to make the food interesting, without showing everything.

The Result

The short-form edits generated strong audience engagement, with videos reaching nearly 300K views, while other videos reached 80K–150K views.
The content also sparked active comments, including viewers asking about the location and where to find the food.
