I recently developed this tech recruitment website in Squarespace for Scoutrec.
Visuals
The founder was looking for a professional-but-modern look for his brand identity. He also was aiming to achieve everything he needed to appeal to eligible businesses and candidates in a single webpage.
I would typically write less text for readability. However, the founder wanted considerable detail, and there was a lot we needed to add to a single page.
Approach
After working closely with him to understand his company's vive and philosophy, I got to work. I set him up with a basic, simple logo and developed the site natively using a few reference websites provided by the client.
For ease of launch, we agreed to source images via Unsplash Pro.
I developed tech-friendly iconography by layering noun-project icons on grey circles.
Copy and Content
I also created all copy for the website. Whilst I'm not a recruitment expert, I've long believed that this isn't the crucial factor for a copywriter. It's more about translating a business' expertise into easy to follow, impactful content.
Finally, I researched and developed 6 blog posts to start to build Scoutrec's organic rank. Within a couple of weeks, the site gained some authoritative backlinks from one of Ireland's leading recruitment websites.
This pale-blue hue was key to creating a relaxing vibe for website visitors.
Looking to build your own simple website?
Squarespace is a great choice. It oozes class but is very easy to work with.
With my own background in multiple startups, I'm also solid at copy and content that resonates with your audience. Get in touch if you've got a project you want to get off the ground!
