This project was one I worked on while at P+S, an enterprise Webflow agency. The client, SW7 Academy, is an online training platform run by Sam Warburton, an ex-Welsh international rugby player. The goal of SW7 Academy is to help aspiring rugby players train at the same level as professionals, offering training programs that reflect the rigor and standards of elite rugby.
Sam and Josh approached us with a clear vision: they wanted a professional, modern, and slick website that reflected their brand’s high-performance ethos. They needed a site that would not only look sharp but also clearly communicate how their programs could solve their audience’s challenges, helping them reach the next level in their rugby careers.
We started by focusing on the user journey. The main goal was to ensure that visitors could quickly understand what SW7 Academy offers and how it could benefit them. We designed a clean, modern layout that highlights the value of their training programs, guiding users to the information they need with ease. From the homepage, it’s clear how the programs can help, with strong messaging and visuals that reflect the intensity and professionalism of the training.
It was crucial to clearly communicate the level of expertise behind the SW7 Academy. We needed to showcase the impressive backgrounds of the coaches and how their professional experience would directly support users throughout their training. The site highlights this expertise by featuring detailed coach bios and credentials, helping potential users understand that they’ll be guided by top-tier professionals who know what it takes to train at the highest level.
We placed a strong emphasis on the benefits of each package, ensuring that visitors could easily see the value they’d receive, whether it’s tailored training plans, direct access to expert advice, or tools to measure their progress. This approach helped build trust and showed users exactly what they would gain from joining the academy, making the decision to sign up a no-brainer.
We also created a knowledge hub. The idea here was twofold: first, to give Sam and Josh a space to create and publish SEO-focused blog content, which would help boost the site’s visibility in search engines over time. Secondly, the knowledge hub allows them to continually develop their site as their audience grows. It’s a flexible area of the site where they can add new articles, insights, and updates that further position SW7 Academy as a trusted authority in rugby training.
