Case Study: Celsius Energy Drink – Social Media Ad Campaign
Client: Celsius Energy Drink
Target Audience: 15-30 year olds on Instagram and TikTok
Goal
Celsius wanted to create a fun and engaging ad for one of their new flavors, specifically designed to catch the eye of younger audiences on Instagram and TikTok. They were looking for a way to produce these ads more efficiently, especially since they regularly release new flavors.
Problem
With new flavors constantly rolling out, Celsius needed a steady stream of fresh ads to keep their social media buzzing. However, their usual process was taking too much time and money. They needed a quicker, more cost-effective way to produce high-quality content that still felt exciting and on-brand.
Solution
To tackle this challenge, I teamed up with Celsius' creative marketing team and came up with a new approach. They sent me a sample of the product, and I set up a shoot right in my home studio. Using my phone and some simple, everyday items, I was able to create attention grabbing product videos.
For example, I used a see-through plastic box filled with water to capture fruits dropping in slow motion, a spray bottle to give the can a fresh, cold look, and a mechanical product spinner for smooth rotations. Close-up shots of pouring the drink and showing it in a glass with ice were easy to achieve with the phone’s zoom and some ice cubes from my freezer.

They wanted the final edit to be fast-paced and snappy, with some motion graphics and a hero shot at the end featuring the drink surrounded by fruits. I put it all together using After Effects and Davinci Resolve.

Results
Celsius was thrilled with the final ad, and the new production process turned out to be both quick and budget-friendly. This approach not only saved time and money but also provided a template for future campaigns, helping Celsius keep up with their frequent flavor launches and stay active on social media.
