CareFull Creations - Resin and Maple Product Film

CareFull Creations specializes in making one-of-a-kind epoxy charcuterie boards, coasters, etc. Handmade serving boards using epoxy resin and beautiful woods. On a product like that, the material is the entire sales pitch. Grain, depth, the way the resin catches light. A flat product photo flattens exactly the thing people are paying for.

So this was shot as a film rather than a photo set.

Shot in studio, on a slider. The move is the whole point. As the camera travels, light rakes across the surface, the resin lights up from within, and the grain stays sharp underneath it. Repeating the shot on a mechanical slider gives me the ability to add and remove products from the surface, like they just appeared. That is depth you cannot get from a still and cannot fake in post.

Cut vertical for social. Tight enough to hold attention on a phone, slow enough that the surface still gets to be the subject.

Lit and graded to read premium without going cold. Handmade goods need warmth or they start to look mass produced, which is the opposite of the pitch.

This is the kind of shoot I run out of my own studio. The product arrives, it gets treated properly, and the client gets a film that makes the piece look like what it costs. No location fee, no crew day, no waiting on a studio booking.
