Overview
Problem & context
Making plans with your friends as an adult is complicated. Life is busy, schedules are packed, and plans live in an endless loop of "we should hang out" with no confirmed date, countless of them lost in the depths of the group chat.
Details
I was the only designer and worked directly with founders Molly and El, with El also developing the app. I handled the full design: competitor research, feature scoping, wireframes, the UI concept, a design system, and the complete app UI and flows for both platforms.
Results
The app launched in June 2026 on iOS in the UK and Ireland. Android and International releases are on the roadmap.

Scheduling & availability check
Scheduling issues are where most group plans die
On Quti, hosts see guest availability when creating an event. If a time's still unclear, polls settle it – the group votes, done. And no double-booking: Quti checks a user's schedule whether they're the one creating the event or just invited to it.

The class, the walk, the coffee place...
Every friend group has a running list of things they keep meaning to do, and Quti gives it a home. Add ideas to your profile – your friends can browse them and invite you to things they're up for.

Discover and share plans in your close circle...
Quti splits calendar visibility into two layers: a personal calendar for what you've already committed to, and a community calendar showing what your friends and mutuals are up to. You can see what's happening around you and share your own events, but only within your actual social circle.
Privacy and agency are at a core of QUTI – user has complete control over visibility of their events and RSVPs.

Bring anyone in: Invite links
Not every guest needs the app to be part of the plan. Events can be shared as a link, letting anyone RSVP straight from the browser. No one is left out, and Quti gets to grow the way real friend groups do: one invite at a time.
