PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Capcom released Monster Hunter Rise's first DLC expansion, Sunbreak, in Summer 2022, encouraging Rise owners to purchase the DLC expansion.
MEDIA APPROACH:
First party data segments were utilized where possible/sizable enough to directly retarget the core audience as much as possible before expanding to contextual targeting.
RESULTS:
The Display, Paid Social, and Paid Search efforts worked together to deliver CPC results that were 20% stronger than the planned rate with a high 6 figure budget. In addition, the campaign overall drove $278K in bonus value. This campaign also drove the strongest CPC/CPM efficiencies and CTR strengths compared to previous campaigns within this brand. The FB/IG efforts specifically utilized 20% of the overall budget and delivered 55% of the overall delivered click volume at an actualized CPC 10% more efficient than the Planned Rate.
Capcom sold 2.5M Sunbreak units during Launch Week.
