Introduction
In the ever-evolving world of cryptocurrency, staying updated with rapid news and grasping critical data points are paramount for experienced users. This is especially true for the crypto news industry leader, CoinDesk. Our objective was to design a website linked to CoinDesk’s main site. While it would be connected, this new platform would also feature unique, standalone content. Our focus was on ensuring users could effortlessly access current news, indices, and vital data points without feeling overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information.
Problem Statement
Diverse Information Sources: Crypto enthusiasts often have to hop between multiple websites and platforms to gather comprehensive data.
Comprehensive Data Access: Quick access to a wide range of information like spot prices, staking rates, total returns, trend signals, and more.
Real-time Updates: Given the volatile nature of cryptocurrencies, real-time updates are imperative but not always available or easy to find. With a vast amount of information at their disposal, users should be able to locate and navigate to the required data effortlessly.

Objectives
Unified Platform: Create a one-stop solution for all crypto-related information.
Comprehensive yet Concise: Design a platform with all essential data but without overwhelming visuals.
Rapid Navigation: Facilitate seamless transitions and quick data access.
Design Process
Research & Discovery: We began with discussion with VP of product and marketing, understand pain points, preferences, and usage patterns from their current users/clients. Analyzing competitor websites helped identify gaps and opportunities.
Wireframing: Drafting low-fidelity sketches ensured the main features were well-placed and intuitive.
Prototyping & Testing: High-fidelity prototypes were created and tested with potential users, gathering feedback for refinement.
Implementation: After finalizing the design, it was handed over to the development team for building.
Solutions Delivered
Font Page Design: We incorporated a front page that provides a snapshot of the latest crypto news, top-performing indices, and trending data points.
Complexed filter: Users can customize and filter the information only to see the content that reflects their interests, ensuring relevance.
Interactive Data Visualization: Data points are represented visually, making them easier to digest and interpret.
Real-time Refresh: Incorporated auto-refresh features to ensure that data is current and accurate.
Outcome & Feedback
Post-launch, the platform experienced a significant increase in user engagement and daily active users. Feedback indicated that users found the interface intuitive and the information accessible, making it easier for them to make informed decisions in the dynamic world of cryptocurrency.
Learnings & Future Steps
We realized the importance of continuous feedback and have since incorporated a feedback loop into the platform. In future iterations, we are considering integrating machine learning for predictive data analysis and exploring ways to further personalize the dashboard based on individual user preferences.
