Case Study: Full Stack Creator – Landing Page for Dakota Robertson

Overview

Dakota launched a low-ticket community for aspiring ghostwriters and needed a landing page that could clearly explain the value, feel modern, and make a long-form sales letter easy to read. We connected on LinkedIn, and he brought me in because he liked my long-form, conversion-focused design work and wanted something far beyond the generic, template-style pages he’d used before.

Audience and Insight

This page targets people wanting to break into ghostwriting: nine-to-fivers, freelancers, and anyone wanting to build a career writing content online. Their biggest hesitation is trust, so I leaned heavily on testimonials, social proof, and clear visual hierarchy to make the page feel legitimate and relatable.

Strategy and Copy

Dakota wrote most of the sales letter. I stepped in to add the above-the-fold hook, CTAs, microcopy, and reorganize a few sections so the flow made sense. The goal was to match his tone, keep the message sharp, and avoid the “wall of text” feeling that long sales pages often create.

Design Direction

We used a dark theme with purple accents to create a clean and modern look. I blended Dakota’s personality into the visuals with pixelated icons, illustrations, and game-like elements. His audience appreciates humor and a laid-back vibe, so the design needed to feel fun but still high-end.
Because the copy is long, I constantly switched up the layout and added diagrams, icons, and illustrations to keep engagement high. The design makes the sales letter feel digestible without removing anything important.

Build and Timeline

Designed in Figma Developed in ClickFunnels Collaborated directly with Dakota Built in five days

Results

Dakota made 35k in the first five days after launching. He loved the design, the speed, and the fact that it didn’t feel like a typical ClickFunnels build.

Reflection

I’m proud of how readable and branded the whole page feels. In the future, I’d test a version with more interactions or collapsible sections to give users more control over how they read the long-form copy.
