Exploring God Within

First things first, do I believe in God myself? Like, a supernatural entity floating in space somewhere going about the universe and checking up on all planets while it surd through Earth and puts some drama in it? Not quite. But do I believe in something that guides me, protects me, motivates me, makes me want to be compassionate, etc. etc.? Definitely.

The thing is, the traditional notion of God is a misinterpretation of what God actually might be. I’m saying this frankly to religious people who believe in a physical entity like that, it’s not true. Such a being may or may not exist. But that is not the point here. We are talking alchemy, mysticism, intuition. These are things that make you realize things which a lot of people are not aware enough to realize.

When you put aside that traditional notion and actually start thinking of God in terms of consciousness, you start to realize, that that God does actually exist, but they exist within you. You are God. Because how can you not be? Why does the creation has to be seperate from the creator? And if there is a creator apart from the creation, then why can’t it communicate through you? Guide you?

Sigmund Freud was on point when he said this. He believed that humans, especially in childhood, are helpless and vulnerable. In that helplessness, children look up to their father as a protector — strong, wise, powerful. As adults, we outgrow our literal fathers (or not), but the emotional need remains. So, we create a cosmic father figure: God. God is not something to be worshipped as a parental figure, sure, God guides you, but you cannot be guided unless you choose to get guided. It’s you. Until you are not mentally strong enough to accept that you create your reality at the end of the day, you’ll be stuck.

God isn’t sitting on a cloud with a beard and a booming voice. God is the stillness in the middle of chaos. The warmth in your chest when you forgive someone. The way music makes your soul remember something it never lived. The goosebumps during silence. The quiet voice that says "keep going" when no one else is watching.

God isn’t male or female. God is the feeling that you're not alone, even when you are.

You don’t pray to it. You become it. You live it. You are God. If anyone, start worshipping yourself.

I strongly believe so. You don’t have to believe in a man sitting in heaven. You don’t even need to he exists. All you need to do is believe in yourself, because when you don’t believe in yourself, you cannot believe in the creation of this world. And when you don’t believe in that creation, you stop loving yourself and humanity. And that brings no use to anyone, including you.
