INTRODUCTION / BRIEF
As an e-commerce strategist with a UI/UX background, I'm always looking for ways to challenge conventional shopping experiences. Traditional product detail pages follow predictable patterns: static grids, separate color pages, multiple clicks to see variants. I wanted to create something different.

THE PROBLEM
Traditional e-commerce sites present static product grids that fail to engage users or showcase product variety effectively. Key challenges included:
Low engagement: Users scroll past products without meaningful interaction
Poor color visibility: Shoppers can't preview color variants before clicking
Weak product storytelling: Static images don't convey the energy and personality of the brand
High bounce rates: Users leave without exploring products in detail
The Goal: Create an interactive shopping experience that increases engagement, showcases product variety upfront, and makes the purchase journey feel exciting and effortless.

MY APPROACH
I designed a three-state interactive experience that progressively reveals product information:
State 1: Homepage Hero (Resting State)
A vibrant, multi-panel display showcasing all four colorways simultaneously with bold, energetic backgrounds that match each shoe color.
State 2: Hover Interaction (Mouse in)
When users hover over a color panel, that shoe comes into full focus while others blur into the background, creating a "try before you click" experience that lets users explore options instantly.
State 3: Product Detail Page
One click takes users to a clean, conversion-optimized PDP with:
Large hero product image
Clear product name and price
Working color selector
Size selector with visual feedback
Prominent "Add to Cart" CTA
Why This Works:
Reduces friction: Users see all options upfront without navigating multiple pages
Builds excitement: Dynamic interactions make shopping feel fun and interactive
Increases confidence: Previewing colors before clicking reduces purchase anxiety
Expected Outcomes:
35% increase in product page visits through engaging hover interactions
