As someone who grew up in the Tamagotchi era and never had one because my parents saw them as “too addictive”, I decided to heal my inner teenager by creating my own: Glowo. A virtual pet that doesn’t demand attention… it teaches you to pay attention to yourself.

Glowo is a tiny digital creature that mirrors your well-being. Instead of feeding it or cleaning pixelated messes, you track your hydration, skincare, sleep, and daily habits. Glowo reacts to each action and even to your city’s weather.

The goal was simple: Turn healthy habits into something playful, emotional, and visually rewarding.

The name Glowo merges “glow” and “flow”. Glow for skin, energy, and health. Flow for ease and softness.

The brand identity follows that emotional direction: warm, gentle, minimal, and slightly magical.

I didn’t want a human face representing “good” or “bad” skin. So I created a non-human, 3D creature called Glowo with soft edges, subtle gradients, and emotional expressiveness.

I generated mood variations in Firefly with Nano Banana extension and refined them in Photoshop. Each mood was then assigned to specific conditions:

Hot weather → Glowo_hot

Very cold → Glowo_cold

High humidity → Glowo_wet

Skincare neglect (days) → Glowo_dissapointed

Skincare neglect (weeks) → Glowo_sit

Acne or irritation → Glowo_acne

Rosacea signs → Glowo_uncomfortable

Feeling great → Glowo_nobg

Onboarding → Glowo_hello

These states make the experience feel alive and subtly addictive.

The product blends lifestyle guidance, habit loops, and playful interaction.
