In a pro-bono collaboration with data engineer Ashwin Hareesh, we tackled the MTA data challenge. The focus was to quantify the accessibility gaps within the MTA system, measuring the time lost by mobility-impaired commuters.

I applied design thinking to help define the problem and create solutions, while also crafting a compelling presentation to communicate the findings. My work ensured the complex data analysis was engaging and accessible to stakeholders, highlighting the critical impact of accessibility issues.

The project brought attention to accessibility challenges, revealing a minimum of 50,000 hours lost annually by mobility-impaired individuals due to limited MTA accessibility.
