Designing and Building a Real Estate Website with an Advanced Framer CMS

Overview

Ultimate is a real estate agency that needed a modern website capable of showcasing properties in a clear and elegant way while remaining easy for their internal team to manage.
The project involved designing the entire website and building it in Framer with a flexible CMS system capable of handling a large number of property attributes.
Apollo Studio handled the project end-to-end, including design, CMS architecture, and no-code development.
Project scope:
Website design
Framer development
Advanced CMS architecture
Dynamic property pages
Responsive layouts

The Challenge

Real estate websites quickly become complex due to the amount of structured information required for each property listing.
Every property contains many variables such as:
price
location
number of bedrooms and bathrooms
square footage
amenities
gallery images
property status
agent information
The client needed a system that would allow them to manage listings easily without breaking the design or requiring technical knowledge.
At the same time, the website needed to present properties in a visually refined way that reflects a premium real estate brand.
The challenge was to combine a strong visual design with a scalable CMS structure that could support a large amount of structured data.

Design Approach

The design focuses on clarity, hierarchy, and visual balance.
Real estate websites often overwhelm users with information. Our goal was to structure content in a way that allows visitors to quickly understand each property while keeping the experience elegant and easy to navigate.
The design principles included:
Image-first presentation
Properties are primarily visual products. Large, high-quality imagery is used to immediately communicate the character of each listing.
Clear hierarchy
Important information such as price, location, and property highlights is emphasized, while secondary details remain easily accessible.
Structured layouts
The layout system ensures that property pages remain visually consistent regardless of the amount of content.
The final design balances visual elegance with practical usability.

CMS Architecture

One of the most technically interesting parts of the project was the CMS system behind the property listings.
We built a custom CMS architecture in Framer that includes more than 30 conditional fields controlling how property pages are rendered.
These fields allow the layout to dynamically adapt depending on the data available for each listing.
The CMS includes parameters such as:
property price
property status
location details
bedrooms and bathrooms
square footage
property highlights
amenities
gallery images
agent information
featured flags and badges
Using conditional visibility rules, content sections only appear when relevant data exists. This prevents empty blocks and ensures each page remains clean and structured.
With more than 30 conditional parameters, the CMS setup provides the flexibility needed to support a wide range of property types while maintaining a consistent visual system.

Dynamic Property Pages

Each property page is generated dynamically from the CMS.
Instead of creating individual pages manually, the layout automatically adapts depending on the information provided for each listing.
Examples of dynamic behavior include:
image galleries adjusting to the number of images
property highlights appearing only when available
amenities lists expanding automatically
status labels updating dynamically
This system allows the client to simply create or update listings in the CMS while the website handles the layout automatically.

No-Code Development in Framer

The entire website was built using Framer as a no-code development platform.
Framer allowed us to move from design to production quickly while maintaining full control over layout, responsiveness, and content structure.
Key benefits included:
flexible CMS implementation
responsive layout controls
animation capabilities
rapid iteration during the build phase
Despite the complexity of the CMS architecture, the final result remains easy for the client to manage.

Results

The finished website provides:
a modern and visually refined property browsing experience
a flexible CMS system capable of handling complex listing data
a scalable structure for adding new properties
simple content management for the client
The client can now manage all listings directly through the CMS while the design and layout remain consistent across the website.

Key Takeaway

No-code tools are often associated with simple marketing pages, but this project demonstrates how powerful they can be when used with the right architecture.
By combining thoughtful design with a structured CMS system, Framer can support complex, production-ready websites while significantly reducing development overhead.
