Lunar Walls E-Commerce: Technical Precision Meets Design Clarity
Project Overview:
Lunar Walls approached us to develop an e-commerce platform for their premium LED video wall technology. The project required a disciplined focus on minimal viable product principles while delivering a high-end shopping experience that reflected their technical expertise.
The Challenge:
With a fixed budget and timeline, we needed to:
• Create a complete shopping experience for just two flagship products with multiple configuration variables
• Implement the site strictly within Shopify's theming capabilities
• Design a technically sophisticated user interface that aligned with their brand identity
• Address the client's preference for dark-themed pages without sacrificing usability or visual clarity
Our Solution:
We designed and developed a focused Shopify implementation that included:
• A strategically structured homepage prioritizing product benefits and technical specifications
• Dedicated technology pages explaining their proprietary systems
• Product pages with intuitive configuration options (size selection, pixel pitch variations, and stand accessories)
• Clear information architecture throughout the about, contact, and policy sections
Design Approach:
The client's preference for dark-themed interfaces presented an interesting design challenge.
We solved this by:
• Implementing contrasting gradient treatments that maintained visual interest while ensuring content legibility
• Creating a strong typographic hierarchy to guide users naturally through product information
• Incorporating the brand's visual identity elements established during our earlier brand development work
• Balancing technical information density with clean, purposeful visual composition
Results:
The final product met the client's needs by creating a clear e-commerce experience that highlighted their premium products without making it complicated. The site effectively shows the technical advantages of their products and offers a simple way to purchase with clear configuration options. The use of contrasting colors and typography made the design visually appealing, even with the challenges of a dark theme.
