Social Media Analysis – Understanding why follower growth stalled
Description:
This project showcases a visual Social Media Analysis created for an Italian client, shared through a public Canva link. The goal was to understand why Instagram follower growth had stalled, despite strong views and engagement.
Through a detailed review of analytics, we discovered that most of the views were actually coming from Facebook, not Instagram. This insight completely changed the interpretation of the data and led us to rethink the content strategy for both platforms.
The analysis includes:
→ Review of current Instagram performance and audience behavior
→ Identification of the gap between engagement and follower growth
→ Cross‑platform insight comparison (Instagram vs. Facebook)
→ Discovery that Facebook was driving the majority of views
→ Strategic recommendations for platform‑specific content
→ Redesign of the content plan to differentiate formats and messaging
→ Clear next steps for improving Instagram growth
→ A revised collaboration scope, as the client understood the value of investing in a more strategic and intentional social presence (moving beyond 4 monthly cross‑posted posts)
Results
This project demonstrates how data‑driven insights can reshape a brand’s social media approach and lead to more effective, platform‑specific content strategies.
