An internal tool for Zillow account managers to manage builder accounts and keep Builder Dashboard data accurate.
Overview
Feed Dashboard is an internal tool for Zillow account managers to manage builder accounts — assigning customers, linking corporations and divisions, verifying communities, and keeping Builder Dashboard data accurate.
I partnered with PM, engineering, and account managers to map the end-to-end workflow, validate tasks, and ship an MVP focused on the highest-impact operations.
Problem
The relationship between accounts, customers, and billing is complicated — tasks span multiple teams with no single place to see status or complete work. Adding a community was a long, error-prone process.
Early ideas included full builder impersonation (like zillow.com), but that would balloon scope. The team needed a focused tool with clear indicators and workflows managers could trust.
Ideation
We mapped the customer journey with stakeholders, defined a user flow for the primary scenario, and sketched options with account managers. Prototypes explored impersonation and full community-building flows; dev and stakeholders aligned on MVP scope.
Solution
We shipped a unified dashboard with consistent status cues, focused task layouts, and guided flows for the operations account managers run every day.
Split UI for assigning customers
Nested corporation/division linking with confirmation
Progressive disclosure for community verification
Minimal pay-status syndication with explicit state
Iteration
Refinements from user and team feedback after launch.
